| Here is a spectacular and sparkly large dress clip dating to the 1940’s and attributed to Hobe. It is identical to Hobe pieces of this style in construction and jewelry findings. It measures a whopping 3” in length and 2 ½” in height at its highest point. It is designed using a majority of clear crystal stones with a smattering of rose pink and sapphire colored crystals. All stones are open backed, bezel set and surrounded by typical Hobe decorative gilt wire flowers and leaves. The gilt work has toned down to a warm bronze hue. The reticulated clip back and back edge of the clip show signs of metal color wear consistent with age and use. However, neither can be seen when worn. All stones are present and original. The small but numerous stones are bathed in light, dazzle the eye and make quite an elegant statement.
