| Here is a rare one of a kind multicolored bakelite dress clip right out of the art deco era. It measures 2 ½” long by 1 3/8” wide and 3/8” thick at its chunkiest. The clip is constructed of multicolored bakelite squares inlaid into its center and surrounded by dark burgundy bakelite slivers laminated to the wood back. The other bakelite colors are red, orange, butterscotch yellow and cream corn all colors of the art deco era. This magnificent dress clip is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The metal clip back is original and snaps firmly and tightly. This very clip can be seen on page 258 in the Judith Miller 2005 Collectibles Price Guide where our collection appears in their book. | |||||||
