| Here is a magnificent oriental enamel & lacquer cigarette case of Japanese origin from the 1950’s. It measures 7 ¼” long by 3 ½” high and is made of stainless steel & brass. The color of the enamel is a deep burgundy. There are 5 additional colors on the top lacquered floral design. They are coral, ecru, dark and medium gray and a speckled metallic copper. This extraordinary piece is unique in its exquisitely detailed raised lacquer design work. The case is in good vintage condition with some light surface scratches on the underside as well as one pin head size nick about 1/2” from the edge on the same side. There are some very light surface scratches on the top consistent with age and use. The inside is very clean and the original spring that holds the cigarettes is firm. | ||||||||
