| Here is a beautiful chunky vintage applejuice bakelite dress clip with hand painted reverse carved strawberries. It measures 2 Ό long by 1 1/8 wide and is 3/8 thick. The strawberries and leaves are reverse carved and painted in bright layers of red, white and green that display beautifully through the applejuice bakelite. The clip is in excellent vintage condition. It looks like it was hardly worn as you can see from the photographs. There is one small scratch on the reverse side that looks like a miniscule white dot on one of the green stems. Its really insignificant but being mentioned to be accurate. The metal clip is original and snaps firmly. This very clip can be seen on page 257 in the Judith Miller 2005 Collectibles Price Guide where our collection appears in their book. This is a beautiful reverse carved clip from the 40s and a unique original. | |||||
