This magnificent Art Deco sterling and guilloche enamel compact is from Birmingham England and is hallmarked with the lion passant, anchor, initial R and the manufacturers initials MCD. It was manufactured in the early 1940’s and measures 2 5/8” in diameter. The back of the compact has a beautifully embossed silver design. The top cover is opalescent sea foam green & pale pink guilloche enamel. The pink guilloche radiating design graduates from light to dark as it flares to the outer edges. ...click for details
